BEHIND THE WINES

Every wine under RVB starts in the same place: the vineyard. Our approach is built on a belief that great wine is made by those who understand they are simply stewards of well-grown fruit, rather than manipulators of it. The science matters, but it serves the art. What ends up in the bottle should taste like Texas, nothing more and nothing less.

OUR WINEMAKING PRACTICE
At RVB, winemaking is fruit first, always. Every decision in the cellar is made in service of what came out of the ground. We work with low intervention and minimal manipulation, because we want the expression of our terroir and our region to be what you taste in every glass.

That means developing solid, repeatable processes and honing them over time rather than chasing trends. Great winemaking is a practice in the truest sense. The more vintages you work through, the more you understand the fruit, the region, and what it takes to let both speak for themselves. We keep it simple. We keep it grounded.

THE WINE INCUBATOR

Founded by John Rivenburgh, Texas's first wine incubator is a collaborative space where aspiring winemakers can learn the craft, access professional facilities, and build a legacy.
Sustainability AT RVB
Being good stewards means looking after more than the fruit. It means caring for the land we tend today so that future generations can do the same.

Water is at the center of that commitment. Managing irrigation as a precise tool rather than a default practice allows us to control vine vigor, improve fruit quality, and reduce unnecessary intervention across every vineyard we work with.
